Alex Graham, a celebrated photojournalist, is at the site of a dam break in Arapahoe Junction, Colorado, helping to dig for survivors. There she discovers that this was not a natural occurrence (earthquake) but a man made disaster causing mass murder.

She is seen taking pictures and so is targeted for death by the perpetrators.

After several attempts are made on her life, she seeks the aid of the millionaire husband of her former colleague.

He hires ex-CIA hit man, Judd Morgan, to protect her. Judd protects her by kidnapping her and dragging her around the country to keep her and himself away from the hit man. Judd has a hidden reason to be targeted also.

They try to track down the truth behind the sinister plot to create more man made disasters. There are sinister forces from the government who are tracking them down to prevent disclosure.

This is a well constructed political thriller with touches of romance. Alex is a woman who refuses to see trouble when it is looking her in the face, and can't seem to stay out of trouble. She needs a less than perfect man, Judd, to extract her from her troubles.

The action is lively and constant. The dialogue is smooth and flows at an even pace.

Kate Burton's voice is easy on the ear of the listener. This is a pleasant audio to listen to while driving to the beach, or while sitting on the porch enjoying much deserved relaxation.
