If you are a fan of psychological suspense, here's a book you must read. The Hole is gripping suspense at its best. A beautiful spring day in England sees six teenagers descend into a deep dark forgotten part of their school. A sort of sub basement they have named the hole. Not many people know it even exists and none that do have ventured down there in a very long while. Only these six are aware of the experiment they are about to embark on. Those six and one other--the one locking the door and walking away. Some may consider the other one a murderer. He should have arrived back to let the half dozen participants back out into the sunlight. But he doesn't. The Hole will keep you on the edge of your seat until you find out just who survived the darkness--if anyone. This book is a stunning debut for a new writer. A winner of the W.H. Smith Young Writers Award when he was twelve, Guy Burt wrote The Hole at the age of eighteen. A book with such subtle malicious undertones, you won't be sure it's actually suspense until you find the fingers holding the book have turned white!
