SEE JANE DIE by Erica Spindler is a psychological suspense novel that will keep you turning the pages well into the night. Jane Westbrook seems to have it all. Even after she was disfigured in a boating accident as a teenager, she has managed to recover, with the help of plastic surgery; her loving husband Ian, a successful plastic surgeon; and a successful career as an artist.

Soon after Jane learns that she is pregnant, however, her seemingly perfect life is shattered. Her husband is charged with the murder of one of his patients, and she receives ominous notes that suggest that the accident that left her scarred and blind in one eye was not an accident at all.

With the help of her formerly estranged sister, Dallas Police Detective Stacy Killian, Jane tries to prove her husband is innocent of the charges and find the man whom she believes is responsible for her accident. She even begins to suspect he is guilty of more than just running her down with his boat.

The action in this novel is well-paced. There is just enough action intertwined with the storyline to keep the story moving and, at the same time, keep readers wondering what will happen next. In addition, Spindler introduces new plot elements and twists at just the right time. While the reader feels just a step ahead of the characters, there's always something new to add to the mix.

Spindler has also created characters that are believable and sympathetic. The reader wants Jane and Stacy to find the answers to the mysteries of both the murders Ian is accused of and Jane's accident. Even the minor characters and those who eventually become suspects are well-developed. There are enough suspects to keep you wondering but not so many as to make you feel that it's impossible to figure out who is behind these events.

And just when you think that you've figured out everything, there is a twist in the final pages that is quite unexpected. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery with a satisfying twist at the end.
