For the first time in her life Jazzy Talbot is completely free from her past. Her no-good, cheating former lover is getting married and she is relieved. Jamie Upton does not want to get married, but he has put himself in a situation where he feels he has no choice. It will be a marriage of convenience and he has no interest in dropping his philandering ways. However, someone is interested in stopping him -- permanently.

Someone has to make him pay for his evil ways and there is a special lady who knows what to do. He will hurt for eternity and his murder will make headlines. Unfortunately, Jazzy will be the main suspect, but she professes her innocence. Welcome to Cherokee Pointe, Tennessee. You will wish you were somewhere else.

In the second book of the Cherokee Pointe trilogy, Ms Barton takes every single element you would find or expect from a soap opera. Mix them together and you might create a story. The drifter, the psychic, the bratty little sister, the vamp, the sexy lothario, the long-lost 'twin', the crazy relative and oh, yeah, the psycho all make an appearance in this novel. This is something one could expect after reading the back cover of the paperback.

Reading the entire novel is another matter. It is overly dramatic, over the top, cliché, and just a bit too much. Everything this reviewer expected from this novel was found in these pages and that is not an endorsement. Take it for what it is.

Me? I'm looking for another book. There has to be something better.
