Hollywood comes to a small Georgia town to shoot a movie capturing heroism. Grace's husband, Harp, stopped a psychopathic bomber but he lost his life in the process. Grace is not happy with Stone Senterra, the man who plans to make the movie about Harp. She wants to sabotage and thwart every effort so that the movie is canned and the project is dropped.

The dialogue is snappy with much of the story being told by Stone's bodyguard, Boone. A recap of the main players' early lives allows us to realize who they were and from where they came. The person that caught my eye was Boone Noleene. Young Boone's mom died early in his life. Boone and his brother, Armand, went to New Orleans where they became thieves in the French Quarter. Their life of crime put both of them in jail. Later, Boone emerged from prison as a much smarter man.

Boone's job is to try to convince Grace to come to Stone's way of thinking. Into the midst of this cast of characters comes Diamond Senterra (Stone's sister). Diamond is rough and tough, trying to persuade people with threats. You will experience some confrontations between Diamond and Grace. Diamond wants to have her brother protected and left alone but Grace does not want her husband's life exploited. Her husband was quiet and unassuming; she wants his memory to stay as it is. Add to the mix, Stone's son, Leo and Harp's niece, Mika. They are wonderful characters that I really enjoyed.

If you like southern stories, this will fit the bill. The readers will enjoy some surprises and also the interspersing of script notes.
