The Chinese launch of their space ship takes off without a flaw, only to have it disintegrate in space. C. C. J.Skye, CEO and owner of Skye Aerospace of Long Beach, California, will stop at nothing to ensure her company obtains lucrative contracts in space technology. She has had her spacecraft, Zeus, zero in on all her competitors in space. Her latest target is the NASA shuttle, Liberty, destined to go to the space station and to explore space.

Among the crew aboard Liberty is Kelsey Newton whose dreams and ambition all her life has been to be an astronaut. Her childhood friend and lover, Nolen Kilkenny, wants to marry her but agrees to wait while she fulfils her lifelong dream. Nolan learns of Skye's intentions and enlists the aid of a member of the Chinese space program to attempt to circumvent her purpose. They uncover a conspiracy of mammoth proportions and a new weapon which could create terror.

This is a techno-thriller which is filled with suspense and non-stop action. The plot encompasses terror and suspense.both in space and on earth. The characters are compelling; some with their commitment to their space program and others with their commitment to evil. Nolan is an old-fashioned hero sure to win the reader's admiration.

For those readers who are computer and space aficionados there is plenty of authentic details. For those who are only interested in thrills and action there is enough to satisfy them. You can always skip the technical parts without destroying the story.
