To be a bodyguard for the Queen of Chocolate is Savannah Reid's assignment. Lady Eleanor is the body that Ms Reid needs to guard. This TV food expert is a fraud, not really cooking well and being nasty with a flair.

Someone has been sending Eleanor some vicious notes. When you meet her, you will see that she is a bossy, opinionated woman, not discriminating who she will step on to complete what she needs to do. She has a daughter who is spiteful, a grand-daughter that is adorable and dogs named Hitler and Satan.

Savannah does not have much of a chance to guard Lady Eleanor because death takes away that opportunity. Who are the possible people who may have done the deed? The candidates include the family and the employees of the deceased. There are so many who may have wanted to kill this woman. Savannah is still determined to find out who sent these threatening letters with the help of her friends and cohorts.

In between sleuthing time, Savannah is surprised by the visit of her sister, Cordele. Cordele is an annoying whiner who relishes being sad, depressed and angry. Just when this reader begins to be frustrated with Cordele, the author turns the situation around. The message of coping skills came through loud and clear to me.

A quick read, this is the eighth book in the Savannah Reid series; the author G.A. McKevitt is the pseudonym of Sonja Massie.
