Theodosia Browning, Indigo Tea Shop owner, takes time out from setting up her tea shop for a fashion show, participates with Charleston's Sea Turtle Protection League in shepherding the hundreds of newly born loggerhead turtles into the sea.

During one of her excursions into the waters of the bay she discovers a body floating in the water. It turns out to be Harper Fisk, a local art dealer. Suspicion is that his death may be connected to the rumored sunken treasure and gold treasure supposed to be near Halliehurt Beach. Theo becomes involved in probing the murder and its motives which may involve the English Breakfast Club. She is almost killed while she is investigating the Civil War artifacts and maps which might lead to a solution.

This is a delightful cozy mystery. The suspense continues to a satisfying solution. The characters are beautifully developed and well drawn, becoming real people. The atmosphere and culture of Charleston is well described as is the tea shop business. The tea shop is so depicted that the reader wishes to enter and have a cup of tea and some of the shop's tasty desserts. There is much information and discussion about tea; its various blends; their origins; enough that you might become a tea drinker. We also learn a lot about sea turtles and their propagation.

The author includes recipes at the end of the book. All are mouth watering but the blackberry cobbler is superb.
