Middle aged Jack DePaul is a feature editor of the Baltimore Star News. He is divorced, the father of two grown children. He would like to recapture the enthusiasm of his youth.

Annie Hollerman, in her 40's, a divorced llterary agent, years ago had a deadend relationship and a promising newspaper career which came to an end when she was accused of plagiarism.

They are introduced by a friend, and after a date begin a flirtation over their emails.

Jack is determined to win Annie's heart through his emails to her. He is managing to cancel the pain of her past until an exgirl friend discovers the emails and tells Annie that Jack had sent her same emails to her. Jack must convince Annie of his sincerity and love.

This is a charming story with a picture of hope and faith in the future. The efforts of Jack are humorous as well as heartwarming. It is a testimony of what can be done to mend the past and build the future even in those no longer young.
