Harry Dresden, wizard and private investigator, is back in SUMMER KNIGHT, book four of the Dresden Files. Harry is the only wizard listed in the Chicago telephone book. The other wizards are busy trying to maintain their anonymity. Harry doesnıt do love potions or endless purses, but he does find missing person, missing items, and on occasion solves murders. He works with the police department when something happens that canıt be explained by any means other than supernatural.

In SUMMER KNIGHT, Harry is having a bad time. He doesnıt remember when he last showered or had a good meal. He hasnıt had a case in weeks. Itıs raining frogs. His girlfriend was bitten by vampires and Harryıs been trying to find a cure for her before she becomes a full fledged vamp. The Red Court of the vampires is making war noises with the Wizards White Council and many of the wizards would like to see Harry handed over to the Reds. Along comes a client for Harry who wants him to find out how artist Ronald Reuel died and find a stolen article. Sounds easy but thereıs one big hitch. The client is Mab, Queen of Air and Darkness, Monarch of the Winter Court of the Sidhe. Sheıs a big time, bad news faerie.

Butcher writes an entertaining action packed romp with a razor sharp witty dialogue. He juggles threats, motives, creepy touches, and vibrant descriptions like they are normal everyday happenings. He works with a great cast of characters bringing back Toot, the pizza eating faerie, Bob the talking skull and Billy and his gang of werewolves to provide backup for Harry. Harry tries to do the right thing no matter how much trouble it gets him into. Heıs stubborn and determined to solve the case and save everyone involved. Fans of Laurell Hamilton, Tanya Huff and Glen Cook who enjoy an air of fantasy, romance, mystery and danger should give the Dresden Files a try.
