Steve Kerns is a dead man. At least that is what his wife and children in North Carolina think. Steve works as a DEA (Drug Enforcement Agent). After a close call in Central America he is placed in the witness protection program. At this point his wife and children are informed of his death while on duty.

Steve is then relocated to Bermuda as a clinical psychologist. He is to study the rise of more violent crimes that have resulted in prison time. His new identity is Dr, Kevin Garrett.

Steve believes that he will live a quite couple of years then be reunited with his family. Little does he know the government has yet another dangerous assignment for him. Mafia from New York have made an agreement with the Governor of Bermuda. They want to close down the prison and relocate it because the land it sits on is prime real estate for a hoped for Gambling Casino.

Meanwhile Steve's wife, Beth cannot shake the feeling that her husband is still alive. She confronts his former DEA boss but is met with a brick wall.

The book builds to a crashing finale with many twists and turns. Just when you think things cannot get any worse, of course they do. Throughout the book Bermudas lovely scenery is poetically described.

If you are looking for a book with espionage and intrigue and a healthy dose of sex and romance Camouflage will not disappoint.
